DESIRE, Milner Vithayathil

Desire

There is no man without desire. To desire something /someone is an ultimate destiny of everyone. Without this, one will be completely hopeless. There is nothing to expect if he/she has no desire. So desireness is one of the core instincts of all human being. Even animals desire something physical. Oxford Dictionary defines desire as a strong wish to have/do something. So there should be always an object for the desire. No one can desire nothing. There are a lot of implications for the term "desire", especially in the religious dimension. For Buddhist, desire is one of the stumbling blocks for Nirvana.

There is a strong thread interwoven under desire and morality. One's desireness is directly proportional to his/her morality. According to one's morality there are different levels of desire. If there are dark ages in our world history, it is because of their worst desires.

Desire itself is not wrong. But when this desire goes beyond till it disturbs others equilibrium, then the whole chaos arises. Desireness for good things makes one morality upright. When one's desireness go in proper way, then he/she will automatically keep morality.

                            "Stop desiring for me,

                              Desire for another,

                              Desire for other's goodness,

There was a man, who always desired for us,

                               Imbibe him in your heart".
